Introduction of Department-
Department of Zoology, B. N. College, Bhagalpur is oldest department and established in 1960. Since then it has been one of the leading departments in the College. The Zoology department is situated in the ground floor of the Biology block. In this department, Intermediate and Graduation level courses run by two faculties, one (01) permanent faculty, one (01) guest faculty and one (01) Lab boy. Recently CBCS based syllabus started in the department, in which MJC, MIC and MDC Zoology courses are prescribed. This department has one lecture hall, one well established and well equipped laboratory and library. The department provide worldwide knowledge and education in Zoology theoretically and practically. The department of Zoology is convenient in teaching of cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, physiology, endocrinology, ecology, evolution, embryology, ichthyology etc. The department provides laboratory and library facility for research scholars. Currently four research scholars are working in the department Laboratory.
