Inauguration ceremony of main gate of B. N. College, Bhagalpur has been held on 25.05.2019 at 10.00 A.M. by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) L. C. Saha & Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) R. Y. Prasad.

Just after the formalities of inaugural function at main gate, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor were welcomed by Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Thakur and almost all faculty members and Non-Teaching Staffs, which were followed by ethnic welcome by NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and students through kulgeet of our university. In this context, a formal meeting was organised inside principal chamber, after that they entered in the seminar hall.

In the sequence of seminar series, today’s seminar was based on the topic “Women’s Quest for Identity: A Global Perspective”, organised by English department of B. N. College Bhagalpur. The organising secretary of the seminar was Dr. Firoz Alam (Head, Dept. of English). In the organised seminar, chief guest was Prof. (Dr.) L. C. Saha, Vice Chancellor T. M. B. U. Bhagalpur, special guests were Prof. (Dr.) R. Y. Prasad, Pro-Vice Chancellor, T. M. B. U. Bhagalpur, Prof. (Dr.) U. K. Mishra, Head, P. G. Department of English T.M.B.U. Bhagalpur and Prof. (Dr.) S. R. Rai, Retd. Head P. G. Department of English T.M.B.U. Bhagalpur.

Principal, Dr. Thakur has elaborated in his brief speech regarding development and achievement of the college. Further, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor has detailed the relevant topic through his words. The seminar hall was full of students, faculty members and non-teaching staffs.

They were highly benefited with deliberation of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. During his speech, Dr. Saha sir has explained the need of women empowerment and their equal participation in every perception of the society. He emphasised the contribution of women in current scenario. After his speech the seminar was continued as per schedule.

Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor has shared his valuable opinion that the current topic is a global issue; even in western culture, men dominate over women and this issue must be resolved. Both the invited speakers Dr. Mishra and Dr. Rai have also elaborated on the given topic. In this regard, they explained how to overcome these relevant issues. All the audience were highly delighted and convinced accordingly.
